A private estate on the shores of Moulting Lagoon, at the gateway to Freycinet National Park. Eight retreats, our own vineyard, a cellar door and WADE restaurant, all on the one estate.

Chef Wade Fordham cooks over open fire with produce from the East Coast and wine from the vines outside the window. Start with a glass at the cellar door, then stay for dinner, just a short walk from your retreat.

Kitty's Mistake & the Cellar Door
Kitty’s Mistake, our young vineyard, runs right behind the retreats. Our Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Sparkling are made in small batches from grapes grown on Tasmania’s East Coast, blended to our taste by a local winemaker. Our rule is simple: we couldn’t drink a bad wine, let alone sell one. We pour by the glass or the bottle, so settle in and stay a while, or take one down to the water.

Exchange vows by the lagoon, dine with WADE and keep all eight retreats for those closest to you. Weddings from March to November, for 60 to 140 seated, or more for a cocktail celebration. Dreaming bigger? A marquee on the grounds is an option too.
