  • There are eight private retreats in total, ensuring a quiet, spacious and highly considered guest experience.

  • Wineglass Bay Estate is located on Coles Bay Road, the main access route into Freycinet National Park on Tasmania’s East Coast. The estate is ideally positioned for exploring Wineglass Bay, Friendly Beaches, the township of Coles Bay, and the wider East Coast region, including Bicheno. The property sits adjacent to Moulting Lagoon, an internationally recognised wetland known for its expansive water views and birdlife.

Dining & Food

  • There are no kitchens within the retreats. Instead, each retreat is designed as a hotel-style space and includes a fully stocked minibar, toaster, kettle and coffee machine for light refreshments and in-room enjoyment.

  • Guests can pre-order in-room dining through one of our recommended local providers and enjoy meals in the privacy of their retreat.

  • Yes. A curated in-room breakfast hamper is provided, featuring artisanal bread and Tasmanian produce. This is designed for relaxed, self-paced mornings.

  • Please let us know of any dietary requirements at the time of booking and we’ll do our best to accommodate them.

  • To maintain a quiet and considered guest experience, Wineglass Bay Estate is suitable for guests aged 16+ only, including infants and babies. Each retreat is designed for a maximum of two guests.

Before You Arrive

  • Layers are key on Tasmania’s East Coast. Days can be mild, nights can be cool, and weather can change quickly. Bring comfortable shoes for exploring, swimwear if you’re heading to the beach, and something warm to rug up in the evenings.
