How many retreats are on the estate?

There are eight private, standalone retreats, each designed for a maximum of two guests.

Wineglass Bay Estate is for guests aged 16 and over, including infants and babies. Each retreat sleeps a maximum of two guests.

Breakfast is served at WADE from 7am to 9am for in-house guests, and is included when you book directly with Wineglass Bay Estate.

WADE, the on-site restaurant, is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week. Bookings are recommended.

There are no kitchens. Each retreat has a stocked minibar, toaster, kettle and coffee machine.

Wineglass Bay Estate is located on Coles Bay Road, the main access route into Freycinet National Park on Tasmania’s East Coast. The estate is ideally positioned for exploring Wineglass Bay, Friendly Beaches, the township of Coles Bay, and the wider East Coast region, including Bicheno. The property sits adjacent to Moulting Lagoon, an internationally recognised wetland known for its expansive water views and birdlife.

Dining & Food

There are no kitchens within the retreats. Instead, each retreat is designed as a hotel-style space and includes a fully stocked minibar, toaster, kettle and coffee machine for light refreshments and in-room enjoyment.
Our onsite restaurant, WADE, offers an incredible dining experience right here at Wineglass Bay Estate. It's open to everyone seven days a week for breakfast (7–10am), lunch (12–3pm) and dinner (5.30–9.30pm).
Bookings for lunch and dinner are highly recommended, particularly during busy periods.
Breakfast is available at WADE daily from 7am to 10am and everyone is welcome.
If you book directly with Wineglass Bay Estate, breakfast is included in your stay.
